NERIC Relocates into TDC's Air Industrial Park

Press Release - August 27, 2008
The Development Corporation is pleased to announce the relocation of NERIC, Northeastern Regional Information Center, to its Air Industrial Park in Plattsburgh. NERIC was previously located on Healey Avenue in Plattsburgh and sought a larger facility to better serve their clients. They have signed a five year lease with The Development Corporation effective September 1st and will move into their new location at 14 Area Development Drive, Suite 201, early this fall.
NERIC is a division of BOCES that provides educational technology and training services to school districts and colleges, with K-12 schools being the majority of their business. Currently, NERIC employs approximately 50 people in the North Country.
NERIC will be moving into a newly renovated office space that is just over 3,300 square feet in size. The Development Corporation contracted with Conroy & Conroy Contractors Inc. of Plattsburgh to handle the renovations for the facility.
“Having the ability to provide a state of the art training center with meeting rooms to better serve our school districts is one of the main advantages of moving to this new facility,” states Jim Jarrard, Assistant Director for NERIC. Proximity also played a key role in the decision to relocate as NERIC delivers many programs in cooperation with Champlain Valley Educational Services. They will be located directly adjacent to the CVES/BOCES training center, which is also located at 14 Area Development Drive and just across Military Turnpike from the CVES Plattsburgh campus.
